The Hash House Harriers is an international group of running/drinking clubs where people, known as Hashers, meet on a weekly or regular basis to run/jog/walk as a group along pre-set trails, and then gather together for a bit of socialising, refreshments, humorous camaraderie, songs and sometimes a feast. Hashing began in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1938, when a small group of Australian and British colonial officials and expatriates, Cecil Lee, Frederick "Horse" Thomson, Ronald "Torch" Bennett, and A.S Gispert, would meet after work on Mondays to run, following a paper trail, through the environs of Kuala Lumpur to get rid of the excesses of the previous weekend. Today there are over 1,800 Hash groups internationally, with at least one Hash in virtually every major city of the World.
There are several international Hash events, where Hashers from different groups gather to run and drink beer together, the most famous of which is the biennial World InterHash. The 2006 World InterHash held in Chiang Mai offered runs in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and South-West China, and was attended by 6,000 Hashers from around the globe. The next World InterHash will be in Perth, Western Australia in March 2008. The Africa InterHash is another popular event arranged on a biennial basis, and attracts 500–600 Hashers from around the world.
Two 90 year olds had been dating for a while, when the man told the woman, "Well, tonight's the night we have sex!"
And so they did.
As they are lying in bed afterward, the man thinks to himself, "My God, if I knew she was a virgin, I would have been much more gentle with her!"
And the woman was thinking to herself, "My God, if I knew the old geezer could actually get it up, I would have taken off my panty hose!"
