The Africa InterHash is a popular international Hash event arranged on a biennial basis, and attracts 500–600 Hashers from all corners of the globe. The last Africa InterHash took place in Maputo, Mozambique in March 2007, at which Kampala, Uganda was chosen by popular demand to host the next round of the event in 2009. Africa InterHash 2009 (AH’09) will take place in Kampala between Friday 1st May and Sunday 3rd May 2009. KH3 has put together an organising committee for AH’09, and it is envisaged that while the main event will be hosted in Kampala, at least one major run will take place at Jinja, the scenic and very beautiful Source of the mighty River Nile. Over the past decade InterHash venues have inclued Victoria Falls, Durban and Mombasa.
The cost of the event will be announced approximately one year prior to its date of occurrence. For those impatient early birds, kindly note that flight bookings can only be made 11 months before the date of travel, and let’s face it, you can’t even buy commodity futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange more than 8 – 9 months out! For the record, it will be possible to pay and register for AH’09 by credit card.

A drunk is driving through the city and his car is weaving all over the road. Eventually a cop pulls him over.
"Did you know," says the cop, "that a few intersections back, your wife fell out of your car?"
"Oh, thank heavens," sighs the drunk. "For a minute there, I thought I'd gone deaf."
